Life Insurance

Coverage that protects the people who depend on your paycheck.

Life insurance is one of those things nobody wants to think about and everybody regrets not having. We make it simple: we figure out how much your family actually needs, find a plan that fits the budget, and get you covered without the 90-minute sales pitch.

Who this is for

  • New parents who need to protect a young family
  • Homeowners with a mortgage someone else would inherit
  • Business owners with partners, loans, or key employees
  • Anyone whose income would leave a hole if they were gone tomorrow

What's covered

  • Term life — coverage for a set period (10, 20, 30 years), lowest cost per dollar of protection
  • Whole life — permanent coverage that builds cash value over time
  • Universal life — flexible permanent coverage with adjustable premiums
  • Final expense — smaller policies designed to cover funeral costs and last bills
  • Riders — add-ons like accelerated death benefit, child term, or waiver of premium
  • No-exam options — for anyone who wants to skip the medical underwriting

How we approach this at Insured AF

Most agents push whole life because the commission is bigger. We don’t play that game. For 90% of families, term life is the right answer — it gives you the most coverage for the lowest cost during the years you need it most. If permanent coverage actually fits your estate plan or business situation, we’ll tell you. If it doesn’t, we won’t sell it to you.

We work for you, not the carriers. That shows up in life insurance more than anywhere.

Carriers we work with

We place life coverage primarily through Mutual of OmahaMutual of Omaha and TransamericaTransamerica. Through our brokerage relationship with Back 9 Insurance Services, we can also place coverage with Pacific LifePacific Life, NationwideNationwide, John HancockJohn Hancock, and 14+ other top-rated carriers depending on your health, age, and the type of policy you need.

Common questions

How much coverage do I need? Rule of thumb is 10–12x your annual income, but it depends on your debts, dependents, and goals. We do the math during your review.

Do I need a medical exam? Not always. Many carriers offer no-exam policies up to certain amounts. We’ll shop both routes and show you the price difference.

What if I have health issues? You can still get covered. Different carriers underwrite differently — one may decline you while another approves you at standard rates. That’s why carrier-independent matters here.

How long does it take to get coverage? No-exam policies can issue in 24–72 hours. Fully underwritten policies take 3–6 weeks but usually offer lower rates.
