Privacy Policy

Effective: June 28, 2026 | Last updated: June 28, 2026

Insured American Family (“we,” “us,” “our”) is an independent licensed insurance brokerage. Coverage is offered through carrier partners; we are not an insurance carrier. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly. When you submit our contact form, request a quote, book a Healthcare Review, download a guide, or otherwise reach out, we collect the information you choose to share. That typically includes your name, email address, phone number, the topic you’re asking about, and anything else you write in your message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site uses standard server logs and analytics tools that record general technical data such as your browser type, IP address, date and time of visit, pages viewed, and referral source. We use this in aggregate to understand site performance and improve the experience.

Information collected during the application process. If you decide to apply for coverage through us, the relevant carrier’s application will collect additional personal and health-related information. That data is governed by the carrier’s own privacy policy and applicable insurance regulations.

How we use your information

  • Respond to your inquiry and follow up using the contact method you indicated
  • Provide quotes, plan comparisons, and the educational resources you requested
  • Walk you through your coverage options if you ask us to
  • Submit applications to insurance carriers on your behalf, with your authorization
  • Send service-related communications (renewal reminders, plan-change alerts, document confirmations)
  • Keep records required by state insurance regulators and federal law
  • Improve our website, content, and process

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent your email or phone number to third-party marketers.

Who we share it with

  • Insurance carriers — when you ask us to quote or apply for coverage, we share what’s needed to process that request
  • Service providers — limited vendors that help us operate (email delivery, hosting, scheduling, secure document storage). These vendors are bound by confidentiality and may only use the data to perform services for us
  • When legally required — government agencies, regulators, or courts, where the law requires disclosure

Text messages (TCPA)

If you provide your phone number through our contact form or by texting us, you are giving us express consent to text you back regarding your inquiry, your coverage, applications, renewals, or appointment scheduling. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

Cookies and tracking

We use standard cookies to keep the site functioning (session, security, preferences) and aggregate analytics (currently Google Analytics) to understand site usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work as expected if you do.

Health information

As a licensed insurance broker, we are not generally considered a “covered entity” under HIPAA. That said, we treat any health-related information you share with us with the same care we’d want for our own family. We limit access to it, use it only for the purpose you shared it for, and store it securely.

Data retention

We retain client records for as long as you remain a client plus the period required by state insurance regulations (typically seven years). General website inquiries from people who don’t become clients are retained for up to 24 months and then deleted.

Your rights

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to regulatory recordkeeping obligations)
  • Opt out of marketing or service communications at any time
  • Ask us to stop processing your information for non-essential purposes

To exercise any of these rights, email us at c.gruenbaum@insuredaf.com or call (813) 590-6350.

Children’s privacy

Our site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be posted on our homepage.
